We all have problems, big or small –and most of the time we have trouble calmly and collectively solving them. I’ll be the first one to say it, I’m not always the calmest person when in the face of adversity, but lately I've been doing some research and it’s been a lot easier to deal with daily struggles.
So, to save you the hassle and tons of time, I have compiled all of my research into five simple steps—if you still don’t believe me, try them out for yourself!
Here’s A Step by Step Guide To Solve Any Problem
There is no point dealing with a problem when you are not in the best emotional state—whether that be angry, sad, or just overall upset. You need to step away from the situation, take a nice calming deep breath, an reassess it when you feel ready.
Trying to get someone to understand your point when you are both disagreeing is not always easy. But yelling never gets makes it better, so stay as calm as possible and you’ll eventually get to a happy medium.
No matter who are what caused your problem, staying angry is not good for anyone—it’s best to move on and let it go, trust me you’ll feel a lot better.
Now that you have assessed the situation and let all residual anger go, it’s time to think how the other person may have felt. You may not be able to empathize, but you can totally sympathize to avoid another problem in the future.
The best way to combat problems is to not sweat the small stuff and go about your day unbothered. This takes practice but overtime you'll master it and be a problem-solving expert.
