It seems as if we always feel the need to put others happiness before our own, and I am sick of it. I’m not saying you shouldn’t strive to make others happy, but you should not let it constantly get in the way of your personal joy all the time.
I know this can be difficult, but once you start making little changes, you’ll see almost instantly becoming happier and overall more positive. So, today I want to go more in depth on the little changes you could make to start putting the most important person in your life first—YOURSELF!

Know What You Deserve
If you're in a situation that you feel you aren’t getting 100% what you deserve, whether it be with a friend or significant other—Get Out Of That Situation Girl!
If you don't feel like going out or just need some alone time, don't feel bad about it. Just call whoever you made plans with and tell them you're simply not feeling up to it (if they can't understand, refer back to step one).
Take Care of Yourself
Don’t be afraid to splurge on things that make you happy, whether it be self-care regimens or an occasional shopping spree—treat yourself well!
This is not always the easiest thing, but what I mean by this is be thankful for everything you've accomplished for yourself. You've worked so hard to get to this point and you deserve to be happy with yourself.
No matter what you do, how you look, or where you think you should be—love yourself at every stage of life!
